2018 Alma Highland Festival Dance Registration

Competition begins Friday at 6:00 pm. Choreography for Premier dancers only. Age groups will be determined based on entries. Music must be Celtic in nature. Maximum of two minutes. Please bring music on a CD. Label music and have a back-up available. Music will be timed-judge will be notified of overage and dancers will be disqualified if an overage occurs.

Competitions run according to S.O.B.H.D. rules
Dancers must present current registration cards

Registration will be Saturday May 26, 2018 at 11:00 pm at Hogan Center
Dances will consist of the published 2018 Championship dances
Age Groups will be determined after entries have been received.

Sunday May 27, 2018
Registration begins at 8:15 for a 9:00 start
(Age groups will be based upon entries received)
Primary: Pas de Basque (16) PDB & Highcuts Highland Fling (4) Sword (2&1)
Beginner: Flora (4) Highland Fling (4) Sword (2&1) Seann Triubhas (3&1)
Novice: Flora (4) Highland Fling (4) Sword (2&1) Seann Triubhas (3&1)
Intermediate: Flora (4) Highland Fling (4) Sword (2&1) Seann Triubhas (3&1)

National Dances will be completed before Highland Dances.
Age group trophies will be awarded on the basis of Highland and National Dances.
Primary Pas de Basque and Pas de Basque and High Cuts will be done at the conclusion of the Pre-Premier National dances. Primary Fling and Sword will dance in rotation with other Pre-Premier categories.

Sunday afternoon May 27, 2018. Registration at 12:30.
Start time approximately 1:00 pm.
Premier Dancers from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North and South Dakota are eligible to compete.

Age groups and dances as per FUSTA and the SOBHD.

**Qualifiers from each age group will represent the Midwest Region at the U.S. Championship. Winners must be prepared to make travel arrangements to the championship.
